Anal Cancer Symptoms:

I did’nt have much symptoms exact I was itching back there and I felt this slump that seemed to be getting bigger I thought it was a hemmroid since I had dealt with them as a child but after the biopsy I was shocked when they said it was cancer from that point all I could hear was cancer nothing else registered at all I was simply numb.

Fundraising Description:

Preventcancer.org I walk in the 5k in D.C had an amazing time walking for all those we have lost and for those still struggling and most definitely for the survivors.

I’m also doing everything I can to draw awareness more awareness to anal cancer it was too painful for me to ever forget this experience now I want to help others make there journey a little better. I Love you guys very much wish we could have met under better circumstances but thanks anyway for all the love.

Anal cancer is still a bit of a taboo subject, and I find people are more comfortable hearing it described as ‘colorectal’ or ‘bowel’ cancer. That’s OK I guess. But I am glad to read that your aim is to raise awareness of this type of cancer. Perhaps one day we will be able to use the words ‘I have anal cancer’ without seeing the other person pause or flinch or look uncomfortable. I remember when even mentioning cancer created shock-waves. Your comment that ‘not all cancers are fatal’ is spot-on. Maybe I’m naive, but I still do not feel that my life is threatened by this cancer. My life-style perhaps, but not my life.
